Ember’s new Camera-Assisted XY Calibration Tool (CXC) is a small device that performs XY offset calibration on dual extruder, IDEX, and tool changing 3D printers, without the need for printing line patterns. Calibrating your printer used to be a painstaking and time-consuming process that left room for human error. The CXC solves this problem for 3D printing operators by introducing a camera assisted calibration process.

The CXC was designed to be as simple and universal as possible. It can be installed on any printer and calibration takes less than 5 minutes.

V2 adds a high accuracy Z probe, improved optics, integration capabilities and some other quality of life improvements. See here for a summary of all the upgrades.

Requirements

Any operating system (Windows program or cross platform web app)

Ability to jog gantry 0.1mm or less and read the absolute position

Ability to override XY calibration values (or tune offsets in the slicer)
